2 arrested on charge of hacking several official government websites in Dhi Qar: INSS

Iraqi National Security Service INSS announced Friday, arresting two men hacked into several official government websites in Dhi Qar.
 
An INSS statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “based on accurate intelligence information, and after continuous technical effort, the National Security Service detachments in Dhi Qar Governorate were able to arrest two people who had hacked the websites of official government institutions and ministries,” noting that “ The detachments tracked down the first accused, determined his whereabouts, and arrested him, and based on his confessions, the second accused, who was also involved in the hacking operations, was arrested.”
 
The statement pointed out that "the operation came in accordance with a judicial arrest warrant after the convicts stole many important data and information from those sites, they were referred to the judicial authorities to receive their fair punishment in accordance with the law."
