Ministry of Transport announced, on Sunday, that seismic observatories recorded an earthquake in Wasit province.
The Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Seismic observatories at the General Authority for meteorological and seismic monitoring recorded an earthquake today in Wasit province”.
The Ministry added that "The tremor was recorded at 12:03:31, this day, local time, and its magnitude reached (4.1) degrees near the Iraqi-Iranian border, (6) km north of Badra District of Wasit province”.
The Ministry added that "it was felt by the citizens”, It stressed that " We have not received any significant losses”.
