The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced today, Saturday, the distribution of 1,700 shares of relief aid among returning families in Sinjar district.
A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “Under the direct guidance of the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, and in implementation of the government program, the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement distributed (1,700) a share of relief aid among families returning to their areas of original residence in the Sinjar district of Nineveh Governorate, including (1,000) relief rations were distributed among the returnees in the city of Sununu, while (700) relief rations were distributed to the returnees in the Sinjar center, and each ration included a food basket and a health basket.”.
The Ministry confirmed, according to the statement, “its continuation of distributing relief aid to encourage voluntary return, in addition to including assistance for durable goods, including (a refrigerator, a television, and a cooker). The coming period will also witness the start of income-generating projects for families returning to Sinjar, with 50 projects as a first phase, in addition to continuing In distributing household supplies and clothing.
