Al-Halbousi receives a delegation from the Iranian Shura Council headed by Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee

Speaker of Parliament  and a delegation from the Iranian Shura Council stressed on Thursday,  the need to stop the war on Gaza.

The media office of the Speaker of t Parliament  said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Speaker of Parliament  , Muhammad al-Halbousi, received a delegation from the Iranian Shura Council headed by the Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee, Ibrahim Azizi,” indicating that “the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and a number of Topics of common interest."

The statement added, "Ibrahim Azizi conveyed to Al-Halbousi the message of the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf," noting that "cooperation was emphasized between the Iraqi Parliament and the Iranian Shura Council on issues of concern to the Islamic community, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, and solidarity and standing with the Palestinian people and working on the necessity of stopping the war on the Gaza Strip."
