Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani held discussions with a number of leaders to mobilize the international position to lift the siege on Gaza.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Prime Minister held discussions with a number of leaders in order to mobilize Arab and international support, to call on Iraq to declare an immediate ceasefire and lift the siege imposed on Gaza, during his participation in the Cairo Summit Conference for peace."
The Prime Minister called, "through a series of discussions, for concerted efforts to facilitate the transfer of humanitarian aid, and to support the Iraqi initiative to establish a support fund for the besieged people of Gaza."
