Al-Maliki receives the President of PNC

    Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed on Tuesday, with the President of the Palestinian National Council (PNC), Rawhi Fattouh, developments in the situation in the region.

    The media office of the head of the State of Law coalition stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Al-Maliki received in his office today the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, and his accompanying delegation,” indicating that “during the meeting, developments in the situation taking place in the region and its practical repercussions were discussed ( Al-Aqsa flood) and the besieged Gaza Strip, as a result of the criminal operations committed by the Zionist forces."

    Al-Maliki affirmed, according to the statement, “Iraq stands with the brotherly Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate rights and confronting the most powerful force rebellious against international resolutions,” considering that “the crimes of the Zionist entity in besieging and killing civilians in wounded Gaza with these barbaric methods only express the vengeful spirit of this Zionist enemy and its entity the usurper."

    The statement stressed "the need for the international community to stand up to the violations against our Palestinian people, end the unjust siege, bring in relief aid, and protect civilians."

    For his part, the head of the Palestinian National Council explained, "The Zionist killing machine is still practicing the same violations and crimes against the people of Gaza they are subjected to collective punishment and forced displacement, and they suffer from difficult humanitarian conditions."

    It called for "an Arab and international stance towards the genocide that the Palestinians are subjected to," praising "Maliki's position in his continued support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people."
