Iraqi National Security Service- INSS announced on Tuesday, capturing 16 accused of impersonating official positions.
INSS said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Iraqi National Security Service continues its qualitative operations in pursuing criminals and outlaws, including those who practice fraud, and exploitation of citizens by impersonating multiple official attributes in order to achieve illegal financial gains, as our forces managed to arrest 16 accused of impersonation, the most prominent of which is impersonating the deputy director of the Prime Minister's office, and another impersonated a legal adviser in the Prime Minister".
The statement added that" The arrests took place over a period of two months and included the provinces ( Baghdad, Basra, Nineveh, Anbar, Babil, Karbala, Najaf) according to judicial arrest warrants ",pointing out that "the defendants were referred to the judicial investigation to receive their just punishment in accordance with the law”.
