A Turkish military cargo plane carrying food and emergency health care equipment intended for Gaza is expected to land in Egypt later Friday, according to Turkish state broadcaster TRT.
The cargo is planned to be delivered from Egypt's El-Arish International Airport into the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing, TRT said.
But it was not immediately clear if and when the aid would arrive in Gaza, which is under an Israeli military blockade and bombardment.
Egypt earlier assured the United Nations that it would open its Gaza border for humanitarian aid deliveries.
The cargo comes as Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan travels on Friday to Egypt for talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.
