The Directorate of Military Intelligence-DMI announced, on Wednesday, discovering a 30-meter underground tunnel used by ISIS in Nineveh.
" The continues cooperation among the security agencies and working as one team to eliminate Daesh terrorist gangs, and depending on the accurate intelligence information , enabled the fifteenth division of DMI and in cooperation with intelligence and force from the Twenty-First Brigade and with the participation of a detachment from Iraqi National security service-INSS , force from local police and PMF in the district of Mahalabiya to find 30-meters long underground tunnel used by ISIS containing rooms suitable for storing weapons, equipment, people, as well as finding IEDs in the form of plastic cans of different types and sizes, containing highly explosive materials, SPG9 missiles, batteries, electrical wires, and lamps for the purpose of lighting in the Adayah mountain range West of Nineveh,” stated DMI in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
The statement added. “The engineering cadres lifted the materials and completely destroyed them ".
