The Prime Minister's Media Office denied what was stated in the media sites about the Prime Minister's advisor for foreign media affairs, Rania Hussein Hanoun.

"Unprofessional media platforms repeatedly launch smear campaigns against the Prime Minister's team and staff, spreading false information. The latest case involves claims about Ms. Rania Hussein Hanoun, a foreign media advisor to the Prime Minister, supposedly mentioned in a letter from a dictatorial regime's intelligence service," according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "We can confirm that this report is entirely false. The individual mentioned in the circulated letter has no affiliation with the Prime Minister's Advisor. She hails from a respected and patriotic family with a history of sacrifice for Iraq. Contrary to the published claims, her late father was a victim of the former regime, and official records and documents verify this fact."

"We urge all media channels to exercise accuracy and caution in handling information to curb the spread of falsehoods. The Prime Minister's Office reserves the right to pursue legal action against those who intentionally defame, falsify, or distort facts through the dissemination of lies and fabricated information," added in the statement.
