Justice Minister receives KSA ambassador to Baghdad,

Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani and the Saudi Ambassador to Baghdad, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, discussed on Tuesday, legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries.

A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani received in his official office the Saudi ambassador to Baghdad, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, and his accompanying delegation."

The statement added, "The two sides discussed ways to develop aspects of cooperation in the judicial and legal fields between the two countries."

Shawani stressed, according to the statement, “the depth of the historical brotherly relations that bind Iraq and Saudi Arabia and the importance of continuing to expand and enhance the horizons of positive cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples."

Al-Shammari, for his part, indicated, according to the statement, the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen communication mechanisms with Iraq in various fields, expressing his thanks to Shawani for his support for all efforts aimed at consolidating the foundations of constructive cooperation between the two countries."
