Al-Sudani: Fighting corruption and providing services are of utmost importance

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa stressed today, Thursday, that fighting corruption and providing services are of the utmost importance, stressing the lack of tolerance towards corruption files.

    The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this evening, a delegation of members of the House of Representatives from Nineveh Governorate, headed by Representative Khaled Al-Obaidi,” indicating that “the meeting discussed The general political situation and the importance of supporting the government’s efforts in implementing its programs and plans included within the government program, which was voted on in the House of Representatives.”.

    He added, "The current reality of Nineveh Governorate was reviewed at various levels, and the most prominent problems it faces and hinder the implementation of development and economic plans," noting, "The meeting also witnessed an emphasis on support for the governorate council elections scheduled to be held next December, and the importance of urging... The people of the governorate maintain broad participation in it, ensuring the smooth flow of the electoral process and guaranteeing the citizen’s right to choose.”.

    The Prime Minister stressed, "The importance of concerted efforts of all political and social forces in order to enhance the security and stability of the governorate, in a way that helps advance the reality of Nineveh at various levels.".

    He stressed that "fighting corruption and providing services are of the utmost importance, and there should be no tolerance regarding corruption files and any negligence that prevents the provision of services to citizens."
