The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iraq is experiencing an unprecedented state of stability, indicating that it is witnessing regional and international openness.
Al-Hakim’s office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, received the delegation of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by Representative Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Qannas, Chairman of the Iraqi-Saudi Friendship Committee in the Council, and in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari.
"Views were exchanged with them on developments in the political scene in the region and bilateral relations between Iraq and the Kingdom."
Al-Hakim praised "the status of communication between the two countries at the governmental and legislative levels," noting that "the delegations' visit is a positive message for the stage of cooperation between the two countries."
He stressed that "Iraq is experiencing an unprecedented state of stability at the security, political, economic and social levels, as well as an unprecedented state of regional, Arab and international openness," stressing "maximizing the common interests with the Kingdom in a way that serves everyone's interests."
