Al-Mandalawi calls for coordination of parliamentary positions in international and regional forums regarding common issues

    First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi called today, Sunday, for coordinating parliamentary positions in international and regional forums towards common issues.
     
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Mandalawi received at his residence a delegation of the Saudi Shura Council, headed by Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Qannas, and in the presence of the head of the Iraqi-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Shaalan al-Karim, and Representatives Hussein Arab, Amer Al-Fayez, and the Kingdom’s ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari.”
     
    Mandalawi stressed "the depth of the relationship between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the need to strengthen it at all levels, especially in the aspects of energy, economy, investment, security, agriculture and others, in addition to increasing the number of Iraqi pilgrims."
     
    He called for "taking advantage of the brotherly relations between the two countries to exchange experiences at the legislative level, activate the role of joint friendship committees, and the importance of coordinating parliamentary positions in international and regional forums on issues of common concern, and working to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples."
