South Refineries Company: Trial operation of first steam boiler begins

    The South Refineries Company announced Wednesday the start of the trial operation of the first boiler of the new steam boiler unit, while it indicated that the production capacity of the high-pressure steam production unit is 300 tons per hour.
     
    The undersecretary of the project management department in the company, Muhammad Abboud, told the Iraqi News Agency INA that "The trial operation of the first boiler of the new steam boiler unit has begun to support the work of other operational units."
     
    Abboud added that "The unit was implemented last month, after it took two years to complete," noting that "the operation included the first boiler, and the second and third boilers will be operated, respectively."
     
    He pointed out that "The steam boiler unit is included in securing operational services such as isomerization units, and one of the most important of these important services is the steam that is produced in various types, from it at high, medium and low pressure."
     
    He continued, "The production capacity of the high-pressure steam production unit is 300 tons per hour, as it consists of 3 boilers, each boiler has a production capacity of 100 tons per hour."
