Baghdad INA The senior technical undersecretary of Communications Ministry Amir al-Bayati said Tuesday that his ministry has worked for more than a year to complete the e-government project and the construction axes of policies, laws and infrastructure for the project. Al-Bayati said in a speech at the Plenipotentiary Conference in Dubai that Iraq launched a comprehensive development initiative for communications and technology sector aimed to building an integrated information society that promotes social and economic development efforts, as well as achieving the goals of comprehensive sustainable development of the Iraqi people. Al-Bayati explained that Iraq completed the necessary infrastructure for communications and information technology services by (3) national networks, one private and insured for government services and (2) for all other public telecommunications services and very high capacities covering the local needs for many years, calling the international community to investment in Iraqi market.
