Al-Sudani Inaugurates Basra's GRP Pipe Production Plant

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, inaugurated on Saturday, the GRP pipe production plant in Basra, during his visit to the governorate.
     
    “Al-Sudani highlighted that the Al-Narjis factory for fiberglass pipes is the first in Iraq to be established with these advanced specifications. This includes state-of-the-art machinery, inspection devices, high-quality raw materials, and cutting-edge technologies related to this type of pipes” stated Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA. “These pipes are essential for various infrastructure projects and they used to be imported from outside Iraq”.
     
    The statement added,”The Prime Minister emphasized that the factory's production will meet the demand of all infrastructure projects, including those managed by foreign companies through the Ministry of Oil's licensing rounds. He commended the initiative of Al-Narjis Company and the Governor of Basra for their support of the private sector. This collaboration highlights the essential synergy between the government, its ministries, governorates, and the private sector. He reiterated his previous directives to governors to foster and support the private sector, recognizing its capacity to bring in modern technologies and drive progress”.
     
    Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the government's commitment to bolstering the private sector and offering necessary support. He highlighted that the government's willingness to provide sovereign guarantees for the establishment of factories, plants, and agricultural projects, as demonstrated in the three-year budget, is a strategic approach to fostering sustainable development.
     
    The factory, established by Al-Narjis Company in collaboration with the Italian company TOPFIBRA, aims to train and employ Iraqi staff. It boasts a production capacity of 7 tons per hour, offering various standard diameters ranging from 300 mm to 3000 mm and nominal pressures from 6 bar to 32 bar.
