Al-Sudani expresses his sympathies on the passing of the esteemed poet Karim Al Iraqi

Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA "With heartfelt condolences and a deep sense of loss, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani expresses his sympathies to the cultural and artistic community on the passing of the esteemed poet, Karim Al Iraqi, who succumbed to a terminal illness. "To God, we belong, and to Him, we will return." (2:156)

The statement added that "the loss of Karim Al Iraqi leaves a profound void in the cultural and artistic communities of Iraq. His contributions to Iraqi artistry will be remembered and cherished."

The statement also added that "The Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Transportation to oversee the necessary arrangements for bringing home the deceased poet's body for burial in Iraq."

It said that "Sincere condolences to the poet's family, friends, and all who admired his work. May the deceased poet rest in peace."
