A parliamentary committee discusses in Egypt the special issues of drug control

    The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Committee in Egypt's parliament  discussed on Sunday, issues related to drug control and related crimes.

    The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said, "The Committee on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in parliament  visited Egypt to see the procedures for the elimination of drugs, where the Iraqi delegation headed by the head of the committee, Adnan Burhan Al-Juhaishi, discussed with the Director of the General Department of Narcotics in the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, Major General Muhammad Zuhair, a number One of the important issues related to the eradication of drugs and related crimes."

    She added, "The delegation reviewed matters related to drugs in Iraq, the danger and multiple crimes resulting from abuse, in addition to the laws and legislation that punish drug abusers, traffickers, and psychiatric clinics associated with treating patients."

    Al-Juhaishi confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "our mission is to review the latest developments in the regional countries that suffer from the spread of drugs in order to formulate the law in a professional and scientific manner, as we benefited from Egypt and its experience in this field, and we were briefed on the mechanism they have, the laws, and coordination with countries and how to work to prevent abuse and addiction, as well as psychiatric clinics in Egypt," explaining that "all these measures will be included in the law
