Al-Sudani Leads Meeting with Security Commanders in Maysan Governorate

    The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, confirmed today, Thursday, that the escalation of clan conflicts has affected the environment required for work and investment in Maysan Governorate.

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Sudani met today, the sheikhs and dignitaries of Maysan Governorate, who had arrived on a visit since this morning.".

    The Prime Minister said, according to the statement, that "Maysan is one of the sacrificial governorates, with its people, clans, intellectuals and writers, and we launched many important projects in the governorate, which were included in this year's budget, and that there is a committee from Baghdad that will come to follow up the implementation of projects and decisions, and we confirm our directives to speed up the implementation Projects delayed by the ministries, and compensation for those affected by the floods will be launched next week.

    Al-Sudani pointed out that "Iraq is a country with diverse resources, and that its problems can be solved within years with stability in the general conditions, as the government supports the various sectors, because it provides job opportunities and achieves the required development, noting that the government is preparing for the next agricultural season and will provide many facilities for farmers." He added, "There are transgressions against the sovereignty of the state and the law, and an exacerbation of clan conflicts, which affected the required environment for work and investment in Maysan.".

    The Prime Minister stressed "not hesitating to take measures regarding transgression against the state and the law and spreading chaos, and affecting the good reputation of this governorate with its people and indigenous clans, and limiting these negative manifestations,".
     calling on the honorable sons and sheikhs of Maysan to "cooperate with the state and governorate institutions and the security services." To change its reality for the better and address the phenomena that disturb the security and stability of the province.
