PM Al-Sudani inaugurated Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital in Maysan Governorate

Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, inaugurated today, Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital, with a capacity of 492 beds, in the city of Amarah, during his visit today to Maysan Governorate.

The statement added that fulfilling this project aligns with the government's program to enhance healthcare services nationwide, including expanding treatment capabilities in public hospitals. The hospital project encountered implementation challenges, but it has now resumed following the Prime Minister's directives, emphasizing its significance in the government's priorities for sector development across all regions.

It also added that the hospital comprises 20 specialized medical departments, 17 operating rooms, a dialysis center, cancer treatment facilities, a catheterization center for heart disease treatment, an emergency room and burn department, as well as outpatient clinic.
