The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Rashid, confirmed on Thursday, work to legislate a law establishing a specialized court to try ISIS criminals.

The President of the Republic said his speech during the ninth anniversary of the genocide of the Yazidis and other components, delivered on his behalf by the Chairman of the Council of Advisors and Experts, Ali Al-Shukri, and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"We cannot accept as honorable sons of our nation those who refuse to acknowledge the tragedies that Yazidis, Turkmens, Shabakiyas, and Christians have endured, "nothing that, "A person who has been inhumane and has sold himself or herself to those who wish evil on Iraq and its history will suffer the consequences of their actions. As a result, they will also be punished with death or imprisonment, and they will have to be punished accordingly."
The statement added," lthough all of this is significant, it does not represent a complete victory for those who were taken captive, raped, and forcibly displaced and whose fate remains unknown. Finding out what happened to the missing Yazidi women is essential to achieving victory for the Yazidi sisters and other remaining components. These individuals include those who have been captured, displaced, and raped, as well as those whose human dignity has been violated."

Along with the government and the rest of the state's authorities, the Presidency of the Republic has begun to heal the scars of the brutal war left by Daesh.

Upon introduction by the Presidency of the Republic, the Yazidi Women Survivors Draft Law was issued No. 8 for 2021; some of its provisions were implemented in order to heal the wounds suffered by these women.

As part of our efforts to rebuild Sinjar and the liberated areas affected by the terrorist organization Daesh, so that the displaced Yazidis may return to their homes, we continue to contact the concerned organizations, including the UN Habitat, and the relevant Iraqi authorities.

Meanwhile, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is still home to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons living in harsh conditions in displacement camps.
