President Rashid stresses the need to end IDPs file within a time limit

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rasheed stressed on Tuesday, the need to end the file of IDPs during a time limit.
 
“The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, at Baghdad Palace, the Head of United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Iraq, Wael Al Ashhab, and his accompanying delegation”, stated The Presidency of the Republic in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
 
During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed "the need for concerted and intensified efforts to end the IDPs file within a time limit not later than the end of 2024, and to ensure a safe and stable return to their cities and homes with basic services, and these steps will be achieved through enhanced cooperation and coordination between government agencies and United Nations organizations concerned with displaced persons ".
 
For his part, the Head and members of the delegation reviewed "the functioning of UN-Habitat and future plans to resolve this file by returning all displaced persons to their homes."
