PM Receives the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, received today, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Mr. Jasim Mohamed Albudaiwi and his accompanying delegation.
     
    The media office of the prime minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that during the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized Iraq's commitment to fostering strong partnerships with brotherly and friendly nations in the region. The government aims to engage with its Arab, regional, and international counterparts to address challenges and crises collectively.
     
    Al-Sudani underscored the significance of maintaining coordination with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and others to recover Iraq's stolen money and address corruption cases. This aligns with the government's strong commitment to combat and confront corruption effectively.
     
     Al-Sudani highlighted the upcoming Baghdad Conference 2023 as a crucial event for economic integration and regional stability. The conference aims to foster meaningful economic partnerships between regional and global countries, making it of utmost significance.
     
    Mr. Albudaiwi conveyed greetings from the GCC leaders to the Prime Minister and commended the encouraging policies of the Iraqi government. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing security, stability, and development. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of the upcoming Iraqi-Gulf Business Forum in Sharjah next September, which aims to strengthen economic partnerships between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Iraq.
