The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced, on Thursday, the arrest of 4 terrorists in Nineveh.
A statement by FIIA received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “in accordance with the directives of Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari, including the pursuit and arrest of the last remnants of ISIS, as FIIA's detachments had accurate information regarding the presence of suspects who belonged to the terrorist gangs of ISIS within Nineveh province.
It added that "an Intelligence Task Force was formed to investigate and arrest the wanted, and with a tight ambush, four defendants were arrested, and through checking the data, documents were issued against them that convict them of belonging to ISIS gangs, and their work in the so-called Jund Bureau, Nineveh province, Ain Jalut division and public camps".
"The defendants confessed to belonging to and working within the ranks of ISIS terrorist gangs," it said, noting that "their statements were recorded and referred to the competent investigative authorities to receive their just reward".
