The International Contact Group praised the efforts of the Iraqi forces in combating terrorism.

A statement by the spokesman's office said, "Rasoul participated in the conference that was held on the twelfth and thirteenth of this July in Washington, at the Institute of Peace of the US State Department / International Contact Group to Defeat ISIS.".

Major General Rasoul gave, according to the statement, "a brief explanation of the steps taken by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Iraqi government and the Iraqi military leadership on how to combat the defeated terrorist gangs of ISIS through field security work and media coverage and their impact in combating terrorism and the successes achieved by the Iraqi armed forces in various fields." .
The statement continued, "The conference was held with the participation of the countries of the international coalition - the contact group to combat ISIS media through media institutions.".

The statement pointed out that "the attendees praised the great efforts made by the Iraqi security services in achieving security and stability in various regions of the country and pursuing the remaining elements of ISIS terrorist gangs in various circumstances and inflicting repeated defeats on them, stressing the need to benefit from Iraq's experience in this field."
