US Central Command announced on Sunday, the killing of the leader of ISIS gangs, Abu Osama Al-Muhajir, in eastern Syria.
The command said in a statement, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the raid did not result in any civilian deaths," noting that "the raid was carried out two days ago."
The statement quoted the commander of the US Central Command, Michael Corella, as saying that "the leadership is still determined to defeat ISIS," adding that "these gangs still pose a threat to the region and the world."
"The strike was carried out by the same MQ-9s that, earlier in the day, were harassed by Russian aircraft in a standoff that lasted nearly two hours," the statement said.
