Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and the head of the National Hikma Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, stressed on Sunday, the importance of cooperation and integration between the legislative and executive branches.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received the head of the National Hikma Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the political situation in the country, and the oversight and legislative role of Parliament, in line with the government's priorities and the implementation of its program."
The two sides stressed "the importance of cooperation and integration between the legislative and executive authorities, and work to provide services to the citizen."
