In Burkina Faso, a rally in support of the transitional authorities took place. Civil society organizations have denounced what they consider to be the "manipulation" of the Burkinabe people by some international organizations. Participants also called for the drafting of a new Constitution. According to Ghislain Dabiré, spokesman for the protesters, Burkina's sovereignty should not be "partial but total and non-negotiable" "No to local servants and their internal policies of destabilization, no to French policies and demonization of Burkina."
