Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani announced on Friday that a memorandum declaring the establishment of OPEC will be signed in Baghdad on the occasion of 63rd anniversary .
"Baghdad welcomes your presence after 6 decades," Abdul Ghani said, during the celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of OPEC in Baghdad with international participation, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Baghdad welcomes your presence after 6 decades," stressing "Iraq's quest to use modern technology in the oil field."
He added that "OPEC seeks to achieve oil stability," pointing out that "there is cooperation and coordination between OPEC countries for common interests."
He continued: "We went according to a road map to improve the Iraqi economy with the support of the Cabinet ," adding: "We will sign a memorandum declaring the establishment of OPEC in Baghdad on the occasion of 63rd anniversary."
