Iraqi Airlines announce the imminent agreement with Boeing regarding the European ban

    The Iraqi Airways Company announced the imminent opening of the Baghdad-Najaf-Muscat line, while indicating the agreement with Boeing to cooperate in lifting the European embargo.


    The director of the company, Manaf Adel, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis, directed a change of destinations for the Iraqi Airways Company,” noting that “the opening of the (Baghdad-Erbil-Tbilisi) and (Tbilisi-Erbil-Baghdad) line came Within those directives, this line is considered profitable, and it has continuous demand.

    He added, "The first flight was launched yesterday, and work is underway to make it a flight every Thursday, and we seek to turn it into two flights a week," noting, "Among the future lines that we are working on now is the (Baghdad-Muscat) and (Najaf) lines." Al-Ashraf - Muscat), and it is in the process of implementation.

    Regarding flights to Europe, Adel confirmed, "A leased plane was carrying out flights from Baghdad and Erbil to Frankfurt and Berlin, but the lease contract for this plane expired in the fifth month," explaining, ".

    And he continued, "The company is in the process of attracting bids, and the most suitable one will be chosen to activate this line," explaining, "The European ban on the green bird is still continuing, and we are seeking to obtain the certificate of the third operator to Europe, where we agreed with Boeing to cooperate to obtain the operator's certificate." Third, lifting the ban.

    And he indicated, "These measures will be activated next month, and this will require work and effort that will take two to three years," pointing out, "We are seeking to stop the waste of money by leasing aircraft."
