Basrah Governor: PM personal supervision upon gas investment and pollution files

Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, confirmed on Saturday, that PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, personally supervises the file of gas investment and confronting pollution, while indicating that the Hawally road will be the aorta for the expansion of Basra as well as the investment and transportation operations in it.

"The most important project for Basra Governorate is the sea water desalination project, which has been delayed for many years, and which we hope will be approved in the budget to then enter into force, and there is Al-Hawali road project linking the ports and outlets of Basra Governorate to be main to expand the city and expand investment and transportation operations," said Al-Eidani to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "The governorate is currently witnessing a campaign to establish infrastructure from heavy water networks, rain, water and electricity networks that are underground, after which the cladding process begins and the process of completing all the infrastructure that can continue and serve the citizen properly."

"Removing the abuses is the most important thing in order for the city to show its civilized appearance, as there are large abuses in Basra from those coming from other provinces," he added, noting, "These abuses affect many water networks, sewers, and rivers, as they will be properly addressed."
