Prime Minister Mohammed S. AI-Sudani held a meeting with the heads of service departments in Nineveh Governorate, as part of his visit to the region on Friday.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of services and departmental performance in the governorate. He reiterated the government's aim to prioritize citizen needs and fulfill their aspirations through service delivery".
During the meeting, AI-Sudani conducted a thorough review and follow-up with department directors, posing detailed questions pertaining to each field of service.
The statement added,"Al-Sudani emphasized that citizen satisfaction is the ultimate measure of performance, and that such visits serve to identify and address critical issues on the ground. He further added that follow-up efforts will be continued after the visit to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively".
He also emphasized that, like ministries, the governorate plays an essential role in achieving the government's vision, reiterating that the success of local officials depends on their ability to develop effective solutions and procedures that serve the public interest. Additionally, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of prioritizing infrastructure projects.
