The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced on Wednesday that it thwarted the entry of 5 kg of narcotic hashish and arrested two suspects from a neighboring country in Basra.
FIIA said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "as part of its tasks in maintaining borders with neighboring countries, and through accurate intelligence information, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior was able to thwart the process of introducing 5 kg into Iraqi territory through one of the neighbouring countries, and the arrest of two suspects from one of the neighboring countries in Basra.
