the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, announced today, Monday, the return of 368 displaced persons from the (Al-Jadaa 5) camp in Nineveh Governorate to their areas of original residence, as part of the Ministry's plan to close the camps and end the displacement file.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Jabro said: "The displaced were returned to their liberated areas voluntarily, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in addition to distributing sums of money to them to help them provide the necessities for a decent life."
Jabro directed the ministry's cadres to "expedite an inventory of the names of the displaced who wish to return voluntarily to their areas of original residence, in coordination with international and humanitarian organizations and the relevant security authorities."
