According to the statement "During the meeting, the reasons for delay in each of the lagging hospitals were reviewed, as reports confirmed the different reasons for delay between high prices and spare parts, some of which are related to corruption, as well as legal issues pertaining to the judiciary."
Prime Minister stated, that "the file of lagging projects is among the government's priorities in working to advance it, especially those related to the health sector," noting that "the government will work to remove all obstacles facing the work of the implementing companies, which must also comply by implementing its lag projects according to the required specifications with specific time limits, stressing the rejection of any postponement or additional delay.
Al-Sudani pointed out, "One of the reasons for the falter of projects is the absence of serious follow-up to these projects, which caused it to take ten years to build a hospital, which affected the general situation and citizen and the acceptance of state decisions," stressing that he "will continue to follow up the progress of work in lagging hospitals and in the smallest details, in addition to the work of the follow-up team in the Prime Minister's Office.
