Launch of a large-scale security operation on Aith Salah al-Din Island

The Popular Mobilization forces (PMF) announced On Monday, the launch of a large security operation on the island of Aith Salah al-Din.

A statement by PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "forces from the Kirkuk and East Tigris Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization: 9th, 22nd, 88th and 52nd; initiated a large-scale security operation on Aith Island in Salah al-Din governorate.”

The statement added, "The Ninth Brigade of the PMF began searching and raiding the areas of Bou Hammash, Tel Hussein, Maleh and Rajahiyat," noting that "this operation with the holy month of Ramadan and within this month's security plan and to prevent any infiltration of terrorists."
