    Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, stressed today, Sunday, the importance of unifying efforts to build a free, democratic, and federal Iraq, where law and the constitution prevail.
     
     
    The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The ninth day of April coincides with the anniversary of the fall of the former regime in 2003, and on this occasion, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, recalled this important event in the history of Iraq, and he consider it the end of a dark phase of the rule of the dictator, who stayed on the chests of Iraqis with the power of iron and fire for three decades.
    Abdullah added, according to the statement, that "the time of the grave Baath was a black era of the abhorrent past without return, and Saddam and his cronies and his ill-fated reign and his authoritarian regime and his oppression are gone forever," stressing "the importance of unifying the efforts of the political forces and proceeding with a new phase to rebuild a free, democratic, federal Iraq in which it prevails the law and the constitution preserve the rights of all components of the people and achieve justice and equality.
