Mandalawi directs forming an investigative committee regarding the attack on Sulaymaniyah airport

First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, directed on Saturday the formation of an investigative committee regarding the attack on Sulaymaniyah Airport.

Al-Mandalawi said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We strongly condemn the targeting of Sulaymaniyah International Airport, as it represents a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a threat to the lives of citizens."

He added, "We also direct the Security and Defense Committee to form an investigative committee to find out the circumstances of the attack and submit an urgent report, to take measures that preserve sovereignty and protect the lives of our people from any attack."
