President Rashid, CBI Governor discuss the financial and economic conditions of the country

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed to the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq-CBI, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, the importance of developing the banking sector.
 
A statement of the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, at Baghdad Palace, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq," noting that "during the meeting, they discussed the economic and financial situation in the country, the monetary policy pursued by CBI and its efforts to improve the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar”.
 
According to the statement, the President of the Republic stressed the need to consolidate economic stability in the country in accordance with a comprehensive vision, affirming "the importance of developing the banking sector by taking advantage of the latest technical data, supporting development and investment projects, monitoring the work of private banks and banking companies, and combating money laundering operations and protecting the national economy and citizens' property."
 
The Central Bank's Governor underlined the serious efforts made by the Iraqi Central Bank to develop its work, and he expressed thanks and gratitude for the President’s enthusiasm to support The Central Bank as it is a guarantor of the country's economic and financial stability.
