Al-Araji: Al-Sudani confirms Iraq's keenness to strengthen relations with Germany

    The National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, confirmed Today, Sunday, the keenness of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani, to strengthen and develop relations with Germany.
     
     
    The media office of the National Security Adviser stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Al-Araji received in his office today the German Chargé d'Affairs in Iraq Philip Holzppfel, and reviewed with him the friendship relations between Iraq and Germany and means to enhance it, in the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples, as well as the latest developments in the political and security situation in the region were also discussed, in addition to Al-Hol camp and Sinjar files.
    Al-Araji said, according to the statement, that "Iraq seeks to develop its relations with Germany at all levels," noting that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani was keen to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries, especially after his successful visit to Germany."
    He pointed out that "the Syrian Al-Hol camp poses a real danger and threat to the region and the world, and the efforts of the international community must be concerted and work to end this file."
    Regarding to Sinjar file, Al-Araji confirmed that "Iraq is keen on the voluntary return of the displaced to their areas," expressing that "Iraq welcomes any international support provided for the reconstruction of Sinjar district."
