Hussein: Iraq attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with Bahrain

    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein said on Wednesday that Iraq attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
     
    The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, had a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani."
     
    During the call, Minister Fuad Hussein stressed that "Iraq attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, and is working to improve means of cooperation to achieve the interests of both countries."
     
    He congratulated his Bahraini counterpart on the advent of the month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to return it to the two countries with more progress and prosperity."
     
    For his part, the Bahraini foreign minister praised "the constructive and fruitful cooperation between Baghdad and Manama," hoping that "Ramadan will be a month of mercy and giving."
