Al-Mandalawi, Sayyid Al-Hakim stress speeding up legislation of the budget law

First Deputy Speaker of the parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi and Chairman of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed on Wednesday the need to speed up the legislation of the budget law and support the government's efforts to overcome challenges.
 
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the First Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received in his office the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, to discuss the importance of approving important legislation and the latest developments in the political scene."
 
It added that "during the meeting, congratulations were exchanged on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan and stressed the importance of everyone's cooperation to support government efforts aimed at overcoming challenges, fighting corruption and advancing in various vital and priority sectors in the country."
 
It also explained that " the need to activate the oversight aspect of the parliament was stressed, in a way that contributes to evaluating government performance, and the importance of maintaining coordination between the legislative and executive authorities to speed up the legislation of laws that affect the needs of the citizen, especially the budget law, and to improve the reality of living, services and security in Iraq."
