The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Muhammad Kadhim Al Sadiq, confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq plays a pioneering role in the region, while clarifying the aspects of economic cooperation.
Al Sadiq told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The two countries cooperate economically in the fields of trade, energy and transportation. There is also cooperation in the cultural field, and we look forward to more cooperation in these fields.".
He added, "Iraq on the political side had a major role in the return of dialogue and constructive talks between the Islamic Republic and the countries of the region," expressing his "thanks for Iraq's constructive role.".
He pointed out that "his country is looking forward to more endeavors to ensure security, safety and peace prevail among the peoples and countries of the region," pointing out that "Iraq has begun to recover and play its leading role in the region as a large and important country."
