Al-Mandalawi: Iraq is keen to establish strong relations with its regional and international surroundings

    First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi confirmed on Tuesday, that Iraq's policy is keen to establish strong relations with its regional and international surroundings.
     
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "A parliamentary delegation headed by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, met with the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi."
     
    Al-Mandalawi added that "Iraq's current policy is to establish good and solid relations with its regional and international surroundings, and to open up to Arab states with which it has historical, social and cultural ties", stating that "Jordan has a special place in the hearts of Iraqis for standing by their side in difficult circumstances, the last of which was a period of The war on terror."
     
    The statement continued, "During the meeting, both sides emphasized strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all fields, activating the role of the Iraqi-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and working on exchanging experiences at the legislative level, and  carrying out official visits between officials of the two countries, in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly peoples."
