Al-Assad receives AIPU delegation in Damascus

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad received on Sunday a delegation of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in the capital, Damascus.
 
"The delegation of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which includes a number of heads of Arab parliaments headed by the President of the Arab Parliament Union Mohammed Al-Halbousi, arrived in the Syrian capital Damascus," noting that "Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad received the delegation at the People's Palace in the capital,” said reporter of the Iraqi News Agency INA.
 
He added that "the visit aims to support the Syrian people and stand with them due to the plight of earthquakes."
 
The Arab parliamentary delegation stressed that "the Inter-Parliamentary Union supports the return of Syria to its Arab surroundings."
