The US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, expressed today, Tuesday, the United States' support for the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani.
The media office of the National Security Adviser stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji received today, in his office, the American Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski," noting that "Al-Araji discussed with the American ambassador the latest developments in the political and security situation in Iraq and the region.”
"The meeting also discussed the file of Al-Hol and Al-Jada'a camps, and the strategic framework agreement, as well as means to continue cooperation and coordination in confronting terrorism."
Al-Araji stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of strengthening strategic relations between Iraq and the United States, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries, consolidates Iraq's sovereignty, and enhances the security and stability of the region."
For her part, Romanowski expressed "the United States' support for Al-Sudani government and his government program," stressing "the country's continued support for Iraq in the areas of combating terrorism, strengthening the Iraqi economy, and exchanging experiences and information."
