JOC: Adopting the openness and maneuvering principle to enhance security in Kirkuk

    The Joint Operations Command confirmed, today, Thursday, the amendment of military plans in Kirkuk Governorate and the adoption of the principle of openness and maneuver, and while clarifying the positive reasons, it confirmed the continuation of qualitative operations to weaken the capabilities of the enemy. 

    The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, said during his visit to the province, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The province of Kirkuk is of great importance, whether at the security, economic and political levels, and also with regard to the presence of some of the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs that are trying to It proves its existence by attacking security forces and citizens from time to time.".

    He added, "The Joint Operations Command operates according to the vision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and all security leaders with regard to amending plans, maneuvering with units, command and control, and not making qualitative units from one security apparatus," stressing that "this step is very important in accordance with the challenges.".

    He pointed out that "his visit today to the Kirkuk operations sector comes with the aim of supervising the process of reopening and replacing some units,noting that "all security units, whether from the federal police or from the army or the popular crowd, are making great efforts to eliminate the terrorist gangs.".

    He continued, "The province of Kirkuk is important, and we will have two divisions of the army, which is a step related to the issue of openness and maneuver, and has to do with securing an important principle related to command and control," indicating, "The enemy from time to time tries to carry out attacks, but our heroic units and painful strikes, whether from the air force." The intelligence agencies continue to weaken its capabilities, and we must continue with this pressure, and with it our exposure activities, to deter dangers and work in a team spirit.”.

    For his part, the Commander of the Advanced Headquarters for Joint Operations in Kirkuk, Lieutenant General Jabbar Naima Al-Tai, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the visit of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Joint Operations and the Commander of the Ground Forces to the Operations Sector of the Advanced Headquarters for Joint Operations in Kirkuk represents an important support," pointing to That "maneuvering and changing plans are among the requirements of work to ensure unity of command and control and within military contexts."
