Biden: Washington is committed to fully defending Japan's security

US President Joe Biden said that Japan faces challenges and a complex security environment, stressing Washington's commitment to fully defending Japan's security.

While receiving Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the White House, Biden made it clear that Japan's new defense strategy would be beneficial to allies.

For his part, Kishida thanked President Biden for receiving him and expressed his gratitude for Washington's efforts regarding the security of the region.

Biden had posted a tweet on his official page, saying, "Today, I welcome the Prime Minister of Japan to the White House, a steadfast ally in promoting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and the world."

"We will deepen our cooperation on everything from economics and technologies to climate change and security," he added.
