Rashid stresses the continuation of efforts to end the file of the displaced

    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, stressed today, Tuesday, the continuation of efforts to permanently close the page on the displaced.
     
      The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Abdul al-Latif Jamal Rashid, received, today, at the Baghdad Palace, the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson," noting that "the president spoke during the meeting about his visits to the two governorates of Basra and Nineveh to see situation in terms of security and services and to follow up on the achievements made in developing its infrastructure, universities, courts, roads and bridges.
     
    Rashid stressed that "the approach followed by the government to ensure the continuation and strengthening of security and economic improvement, due to its importance in supporting investments and the private sector, as well as enacting legislation and providing the required facilities, in a way that helps develop infrastructure and provide the necessary services to citizens," pointing to "the need for continued efforts from In order to create the appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced to their areas and to close this page once and for all, as soon as possible, due to the poor conditions in which they live.
     
    For his part, the British ambassador confirmed his country's commitment to support the security and stability of Iraq, and the aspiration to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship in various fields, and to support economic and social development, construction and reconstruction.
